Cape Coral Police and Cape Coral Fire Department are on scene of a death investigation in the 200 block of SE 31 St. Preliminary information is that a subject died when a compressed air/gas canister exploded at a residence. Traffic will be diverted in the area for the next few hours while the State Fire Marshall investigates. Bomb squad will assist to make sure the scene is safe. Drivers should seek an alternate route.
